Some windows have no codes or names on the windows at all. These windows were most likely from a local or regional company; these windows are referred to as in shop brand windows. However, many times you'll find an ID Code On Your Windows or Doors by a glass code, which is an opaque etching typically located in one corder of the glass that shows the date and manufacturer. Many aluminum and vinyl windows have an AAMA [American Architectural Manufacturer's Association] small sticker to denote certification. This is typicallly applied to the window frame or sash, and is about ½” wide and 3 ½” long; In some cases we can help, unless the window company has gone out of business.
